Thinking about joining the petroleum program and looking for a little financial help?

You may be eligible to receive one of the following scholarships:

Britt Family Trust Alumni Association Scholarship Fund

  • You must be an undergraduate student enrolled in the petroleum engineering program with a minimum grade point average of 3.25 to be eligible for this award. Recipients are selected by the student financial assistance office, with input from the department chair and donors.

Deuteronomy 7:12-13

  • You must be enrolled in the petroleum engineering program to be eligible for this award. Preference is given to students who demonstrate a financial need.

Dr. K Endowed Scholarship for Petroleum Engineering

  • You must be a full-time student majoring in petroleum engineering with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher to be eligible for this award. Preference is given to students who demonstrate a financial need. Recipients are selected by the student financial assistance office, with input from the department chair and donors.
  • No need to apply; this award is automatically matched to your account based on certain criteria met.
  • The friends, family and colleagues of Dr. Leonard F. Koederitz (“Dr. K”) endowed this fund in recognition of Dr. Koederitz’s enduring legacy as teacher, mentor and friend to the hundreds of students who had the good fortune to enter his classroom.

Govier, Vaughn, Hoffman and Carlisle Scholarship for Pertoleum Engineering (Patel)

  • You must be a student enrolled in the petroleum engineering program demonstrating a financial need to be eligible for this award.

J. Ken Thompson Endowed Scholarship in Petroleum Engineering

  • You must be a junior or senior transfer student majoring in petroleum engineering to be eligible for this award. Recipients are selected by the department no later than April 15 each year.
  • No need to apply; this award is automatically matched to your account based on certain criteria met.

Kenneth and Marian Clark Scholarship Endowment Fund

  • You must be a student with an adjusted gross income of $40,000 or less a year to be eligible for this award. First preference is given to students majoring in petroleum engineering who graduated from a Missouri high school, with second preference given to students majoring in petroleum engineering who graduated from high school in Kansas or Oklahoma.  

Petroleum Engineering Departmental Scholarship

Robert and Margaret Schafer Endowed Scholarship for Engineering Students in School of Mines and Metallurgy 

  • You must be an undergraduate student enrolled in petroleum engineering, geological engineering or mining engineering to be eligible for this award. First preference is given to students in petroleum engineering; second preference is given to students in geological engineering; and third preference is given to students in mining engineering. Financial needs are considered.

R. TIM AND KAY BRADLEY GRADUATE FELLOWSHIPS IN PETROLEUM ENGINEERING

  • The Petroleum Engineering program awards R. Tim and Kay Bradley Fellowship to admitted PhD or MS students in any area of petroleum engineering (reservoir, drilling, production and mechanical earth modeling).
  • The fellowship includes school fees, competitive stipend and travel allowance.
  • The fellowship is available only for US citizens or permanent residents.
  • The evaluation of the scholarship is rolling, but for best consideration applications should be received by March 1st for the fall semester and September 1st for spring and summer semester. There is no additional application required for the fellowship.
